Integral to my journey was the support and guidance offered by the dedicated staff of SMIT Academy, whose tireless efforts helped me prepare for the International Medical Admissions Test (IMAT). Their unwavering commitment not only equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary for success but also instilled within me a sense of confidence to navigate the challenges of medical school. I would indeed be failing in my duties of these few words do not mention the personà of Dr. Viraj Pattipola who in my opinion is an excellent tutor whose vision and strategy helped me to be equipped with the knowledge needed for the IMAT examination. I would also like to thank Mr. Charitha who certainly is a man of all 4 seasons and someone who was always available, even if my call would be at 11.30 pm regarding any trivial issue I was bound to have. The experience of Mr. Pattipola and the staff at SMIT was certainly evident in the processing of my documents and the very complex visa process. For that I give them a 10 out of 10.

As I navigate the rough yet serene waters of medical education, I am constantly reminded of the privilege bestowed upon me—to study and learn in a culturally rich environment that celebrates diversity and fosters growth. Each day presents new opportunities for discovery and learning, as I strive to uphold the values of compassion, integrity, and excellence that define the medical profession.

In Italy, the journey of a medical student transcends the confines of academia, offering a holistic experience that nurtures the mind, body, and soul. It is a journey marked by challenges and triumphs, guided by the wisdom of the past and fueled by the promise of a brighter future. And for that, I am eternally grateful.
