At the Camera dei Deputati — the prestigious a house of the Italian Parliament and a cornerstone of Italy’s democracy — I proudly stood as a member of the newly formed Special Parliamentary Commission for Foreigners. This historic commission, presided over by Councillor Mr. Ravendra Jegansen of the Naples Municipal Council, aims to bring the voices of immigrants directly into parliamentary dialogue — addressing critical issues such as education, healthcare, employment, and social inclusion for all communities living in Italy. I also had the great honor of meeting Honorable Senator Alessandro Caramiello, a respected member of the Italian Senate, and Dr. Michele Grillo, senior official and Coordinator at the Department for Regional Affairs and Autonomies at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. This moment wasn't just a political milestone — it was a personal one, and a victory for every immigrant building their future in this country.
